Ouachita Parish LA March 3 2017 An investigation by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has led to the issuance of warrants and the arrest of Christian J. Amos, age 25 of Monroe.
Amos is currently being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center on 4 counts of Prohibited Sexual Conduct Between Educator and Student, 1 ct. of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, and 4 cts. of Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance.
The FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force and Safe Streets Task Force, Monroe Police Dept. and the Louisiana State Police assisted in the investigation, which is continuing.
The former choir director of Neville High School is facing charges, including alleged sexual misconduct with students.
Amos faces two additional counts, including distribution of drugs.
Amos is accused of providing marijuana to students trying to entice them into sexual relationships.
He resigned from his position at Neville High School back in January.
His bond has been set at $90,000.00.
